It isn’t easy being a US-based Nokia fan in 2011. The Finnish handset manufacturer just doesn’t get a lot of love from stateside carriers. Thankfully, however, the company’s phones do pop up unlocked through sites like Amazon, which, as it so happens, has opened up pre-orders for the Symbian Anna-rocking E6. You can get your thumbs on the smartphone’s QWERTY keyboard for $446, when it start shipping in one to two months, chock full of Ovi-branded goodness.

TDK is taking those transparent OLED screens we saw back in October and putting them into mass production. The 2.4-inch, QVGA (240 x 320) UEL476 display has a transmittance of 40 percent, but obscures light passing through the front so others won’t be able to read your text messages from behind. Obviously, these aren’t going to find their way into high-end Android handsets, but they may have a home in fashion phones like Lenovo’s S800. And, you know, they seem perfect for SMS addicts who can’t stop their thumbs from flying even while walking. Check out the full PR after the break.

Are video tutorials and leaked presentations still not enough to convince you of the BlackBerry Bold Touch’s existence? Well, if not, you can thank BGR for getting its real live hands on an honest-to-goodness prototype, which it says looks even better than the renders. The site also reports that the touchscreen is plenty responsive, which could help induce users to move their thumbs from the optical trackpad for navigation. It also reiterates a BlackBerry World launch, so if things stay on track we’ll be getting our own hands on one in just about one month’s time — we know you can’t wait.
